Array A truck load of us usually make our way down from Edinburgh. I'll be there but only to do the epee. Never stayed at the Cobden so couldn't say for sure. If you going to Birmingham remember and not wander to far off the track (there are some nasty areas) adn get a balti (curry) Birmingham has a fab reputation. -
Cool, maybe I'll see ya there.
Been to Birmingham loadsa times but never on my own. I'll be sure to stay on campus. I can get a curry anywhere, it's just spicy stew. Now if I could get a good Filé Gumbo. Now ya talkin' Keeyahh.
Nevermind, just me homesick for New Orleans. -

I Gaaaaare-run-tee dis redbone dun see dem boys run when de cayenne start flyin'. Baton Roulé! Now you tell me Mergs what kinda thrill dis Cajun gonna get from a curry? lol
Actually vindaloo is pretty good but they don't put crawfish in it. sigh. I actually carry a mini Tabasco in my handbag for when I eat out. A full English Breakfast with some of the New Iberian wonder drug makes it decent.
*chilli wondering how to convince Mergs to hijack a crawdaddy shipment and bring it to her in Wales.*
Mergs I'll cook for ya!! All ya gotta do is...

The Birmingham International is good comp to go to. I'll be there, as will half of my club.
Gav is spot on when he advises you to go for a balti. Birmingham is pretty much the curry capital of Britain. The night clubs are a bit pants, though. -

Birmingham, England... New Orleans, Louisiana... I don't see the connection.
Laissez les bon ton roulez.

"...ahhh, we have sort of a problem here... yeah, you apparently didn't put one of the new cover sheets on your TPS report" Lumberg.
"Drugs are bad, m'kay." -
My bad Lumberg. I was trying to make them realize that a curry just ain't no big thing. Me being a hot-blooded Cajun, I'm particular about my viddles. Only recent roadkill raccoon, squirrel, 'possum, etc.
Mergs, HELP, they trying to make me eat fresh vegetables and something called a BALDY. I won't even go into That spotted thing.
Anyway, I think B'ham is going to be good. What countries typically show for it? -
