Texas, North Carolina, and California, but nothing in New York. Why
not have NACs in the major cities of the northeast like NYC,
Philadelphia, and Boston? Maybe one Div 1 could be on the west coast,
and 1 on the east coast every year. That way those of us who would
like to participate, but can't afford to spend an extra 2 days
traveling and $600 for airfare could participate.

bids on the events and no one has made a reasonable bid from those
cities. It's a matter of facilities, cost and an organizer to make
it happen.
SO *** WHY NOT YOU?
But to be very frank, last year I went to Columbus,Ohio in december,
snow, freezing winds, rooms were somewhat pricey. parking was not
free and the venue was acceptable but utilitarian and really a hike.
Now the year before that it was Palm Springs. December in the
desert - wonderful weather. Room prices were 1/2 - 2/3 of what
I paid in Columbus. The venue was a really spacious attractive hotel
with lots of free parking, there was a street fair in the evening.
Ask me which one was more fun and which one I would prefer to return to.

organizing such event. Federation will have to pay about 3 times as much money
for the venue in NYC compared to Columbus, OH. On top of all that, you have to
consider all the costs related to transportation (taxi, shuttle, etc), food,
and lodging, and it will be clear why USFA does not bring NAC's to cities such
as NY, Boston, or Philadelphia.
Another thing... Columbus, OH, because of it's central location, is only a
driving distance away for a very large number of USFA members. Palm Springs
serves similar purpose for lots of West Coast Divisions.

It was near Boston (Div II/III NAC) a few years back (Worchester I
think).
Philly's not an expensive place like Boston or NYC or DC...
(Except when you mess with the unions...)
