in response to about the homemade t-shirts, a friend of mine went to Duke University's TIP program over the summer and they gave her a t-shirt, the everlasting promoting method. She went to kinkos with a paper with the compounds of x, ghb, lsd, and other drugs all drawn out with the proper names under them. very funny, and she wore it to school, knowing only the chem teachers and some of the more apt students would recognize what they were.

Both of these sites have lots of nice t-shirts, but none of them scream BUY!! to me. Perhaps I'll wishlist them for the holidays...
    I agree with you:
    Their designs are too pedestrian...

OOPS, I answered to this one already...

pk, I'm always open to suggestions

Send me a pm if you've got anything in mind you'd like to see. Or want to share your example of a shirt you think is not too pedestrian and I can see if I can adapt.

My biggest problem with the FencingWear.com Shirts is that the don't come in black. Maybe I missed something on the website but all I could see was white and ash coloured shirts. Just my opinion but shirts become infinitely cooler when they are in black.
    Just a thought.

Yes, white and ash grey are the present color choices except for black, blue or red sleeves on the jersey shirt or pink, black or light blue on the fitted girls jersyes.

Any design in particular you think would be best on black?

I'm going to put pen back to paper and come up with new designs for my store soon (and one just for a black shirt maybe) but my darn "day job" keeps taking up my time

My personal favorite is one that a fencer at my club has.
It has a fencer standing up with a scratch in his arm and anotherone dead on the floor. At the bottom it says
"Screw right of way, I win"

Hey Eileen, are you serious about this? At my club, we came up with a design for a t-shirt that we printed off ourselves and it came out quite nice.

Basically it was a white t-shirt (cheaper but black would be SOOOO much cooler!) with a small logo on the left breast. We found this logo on the Internet that said (and I'm sure everyone's seen this) Beat it, Jab it, Stab it, Fence it in blue with a few red figures fencing. We also had our club nicknames and mottos in the back.

Or, what I would LOVE to see as a black t-shirt is one that has the following on the front:

    Saber is Theatre
    Foil is Art

    and in the back:

    Epee is TRUTH

Yes, I know, I know. Foilists and sabreurs would have a field day with that and I'll expect lots of rants and/or comments on this but I thought it'd be a cool t-shirt anyway. (well, it'd be cool for epeeists!)

oh, and apologies to the foilists and the sabreurs out there!
