Array Fencing Commercial Seen on the history channel today, and now that I think about it, I think I have seen it elsewhere.
It is by the CGM Realty Fund, and is entirely two men fencing down an outdoor hallway (complete with stonework and arches) while talking about their investments or something.
The last line..."see my point?" as he scores a touch on his opponent's neck. Yes both are in full fencing gear.
I'd be curious to know how much air time this particular commercial gets and which channels it is shown on.

Array Come to think of it, I remember seeing that once... just once though, can't remember what channel it was on. -

Array There was an Oppenheimer Fund commercial of few epee actions some years ago too. -

Array Well, an epee fencer in silhouette is CGM's logo, after all.... -

Array Actually I've seen that quite often...not for a little while, and I don't recall where, but I can tell you there are at least two variants of the dialogue (if not the fencing), the other ending with "for once you're on target." I figured it was old news. -
Sw. TV3 ad Hi!
The other day I say a "fencing" ad in the Swedish TV3 channel. During a break in "Cityakuten" (ER in English, IIRC) there was an ad with Andie MacDowell in foil gear (no lame, non-electricl foil) doing moves and dipping her plastic foil tip in a glass cup of skin cream. Beatiful moves, but strange link between product and ad.
Have a nice time!

Array Yes, I have heard a lot about this Andie McDowell - L'Oreal commercial. There has been quite a bit of discussion about it on the other French fencing forum (http://www.escrime-info.com)
It's supposed to be showed on French TV as well, but I have not seen it myself. - Epee is the Louis Vuitton bag of fencing: only the best can get it, and the rest of the masses must content themselves with cheap knockoffs (sabre, foil)
- To not recognize the power of the French grip is to be in denial

Array Have seen the CGM commercials for several years. Several attempts have been made by some folks to see if CGM would consider being a sponsor for USFA and/or events (do a search for the thread). They said no. Maybe we should sue for trademark violation? JK. ;-)
BTW, Verizon has one now about a young girl who downloads a website on fencing and looks like she is trying to teach herself how to fence. Would be interesting to see if she was accessing a real website or one made up by Verizon. -

Array IBM has a print ad showing fencers. It's a little blurry, but it looks as if one of them has a foil, and the other an epee... "In theory, theory and practice are the same, but in practice, theory and practice are different." Similar Threads -
