Array Anyone wanna look for aliens? In case anyone has some spare computing time, I thought I'd thow out an invitation to participate in the SETI@Home project. Search for ET and advertise fencing.
You can download the software here.
I took the liberty of starting a fencing community team here.

Array I've been using SETI@home for awhile now. I'll join your group when I get a chance to log on to the server...it was down. It's been so long that I hope I remember the e-mail addy I used. -

Array I almost decided to join in the Art Bell Club; but changed my mind, however, you're not in bad company, the US goverment, the Airforce; not to mention Carl Sagan and other eminet scientists, spent a fortune looking for et; and it was complete waste - but it sounds like fun, I think Richard Dryfuss had better luck. -

Array SETI Wouldn't it be much easier to just -call- Michael Jackson't agent and schedule a meeting or something?
Seriously, if aliens wanted to have a bit of an afternoon chat with us, I am sure they would do so. I am also sure they wouldnt try to use crop circles in the middle of nowhere to communicate either. Why bother walking around and flattening all that grass, when all they have to do is start a fire or simply just show up and wave.

You know you have a drinking problem when you wake up in Idaho and don't remember how many aliens it took to get you there. -

Array Maybe they have reasons we cant possibly understand... or maybe they are like us, and have technology which has advanced much further than their ethics and morals. So, instead of using their stuff to end world hunger they are putting patterns in the ground and laughing at the confusion they cause:
'Dude, this will, like, really freak them out! Rightous!' Forgive, O Lord, my little jokes on Thee, and I'll forgive Thy great big joke on me. -

Array I think we have a few aliens here on the board...
Not that there's anything wrong with that, of course. "In theory, theory and practice are the same, but in practice, theory and practice are different." -

Array Jeff, look out for Martians. Today, Mars has come very close to the earth, they said the closest ever since early man [cave-man] might be a good time for Great Brittian to check out their stonehedge and peek through things a bit just to see if the stones lined up back then to anything Martian.
BUT, don't be too surprised my friends, if someone, Art Bell for instance doesn't start waving his arms around for a seti sighting.
Bye for now! -

Array jeff, you may be right. a pitty they aren't broadcasting at the excitation frequency of hydrogen on someplace other than earth - nobody's going to make a big deal if they post on the forums. Similar Threads -
