    [CFML] classical fencing in Europe

I'm wondering if anyone can help me.

I'm a fencer who has recently moved to Warsaw, Poland and I'm looking
for a salle d'armes or club, preferably classical fencing. The Polish
Fencing Federation is hopeless. They only know that there's a sports
center at the edge of the city which has fencing (and they don't know
when or whom to contact). Does anyone just happen to have contact
with any classical, historical or even just sport fencers in Warsaw?

    Hi Jud,

Warsaw? Hmm, that's a tough one! You might obtain some more "local" help through one of the European organizations. Here are a few links that _might_ be of use:

    http://www.aemma.org/

    http://www.european-alliance.org/cgi...pl/purpose/uk/

    http://www.scherma-antica.org/

    http://www.scherma-tradizionale.org/

As you will notice these sites belong to organizations in the western EU, but they may know whom you should contact in Poland (the last would be the one I try first). Good luck!

    Hi again,

I found a maitre originally from Poland through the scherma tradizionale site, named Marian Zakrzewski. The IMAF site lists his contact as marian@connection.com--it might be worth contacting him to see if he knows anyone in Poland that might be able to help you.
