[CFML] New Member Intro

Pax

Per instructions of the Welcome message, a short intro.

I'm Ari Adams, have experience only with modern fencing (French style)
mostly foil, but have been reading for a few years on classical fencing and
would like to experiment some. I'm a lifelong fan of Sir Capt. Richard
Francis Burton, and also like Lord Alfred Hutton. I am most interested in
the sabre as a weapon, but my interest also crosses towards the Spanish
school (which I would like to know more about).

Ari

RE: [CFML] New Member Intro

Moving this thread back into public view, in case it is of general interest.

M. Martinez regularly presents classes on the Spanish School across the
country. Watch This Space

I believe Patri Pugliese has access to hardcopies he will photocopy (As well
as Burton's bayonet manual). He does this out of love for the sword, not as
a business so it can take six weeks or more to get them that way.

Thanks. Sadly, his school is so far away...

I have copies of Hutton's manuals, and of Burton's book of the sword...
Burton's manual is elusive though... I hear it exists/it doesnt exist. But
have heard many say that they have seen it. Ever seen a copy?
