[CFML] Classical Fencing in Lancaster PA, new member message

Greetings,

This is a broadcast message for Classical Fencers. You may know me,
Chris French, 15 year Fencing student of Maestra Jeanne Thompson; at
your service. Jeanne Thompson was a member of the US Olympic team at
Mexico City in '68. Maestra Thompson has been fencing all her life and
has trained in Europe. I compete in foil and (as with all of Maestra
Thompson's students)people who have been around tend to recognize her
style in us when they see it. We fence in a clean, highly focused
manner that relies on balance derived from correct posture and
movement. We are called Classical "point" Fencers by others we
encounter in competition. I do not think that our method of Fencing is
exactly Classical Fencing, but we have many principles in common.

We are looking at starting a new Fencing club at Hempfield High, in
Lancaster. I have been doing research on Fencing for the Blind and
Classical Fencing, as there may be an opportunity to include these
programs in our new club. I would be highly appreciative if you took
an interest in sharing with me your expertise or reference materials,
if any on these subjects. Please correspond. Thank you.
