However, I notice your location is Overland Park, KS; site of the NAC. Perhaps you could call the organizer every day and ask them.
I'd sure like to know so I can buy my airplane ticket while summer rates are down. Everything goes up after Labor Day. I hope they at least publish the schedule outside of 21 days from the event's start. |

| At the BoD meeting at Summer Nationals, it was requested (and accepted by USFA) that the event days and hotel and other information be posted on the web 60 days prior to the competition and check-in close times be posted 45 days prior to the competition.
Apparently we've missed the first deadline. As usual.

| Actually that's not true. That was #6 of Paul Soter's 9 motions, all of which were withdrawn with the statement that the issues had been addressed directly with the Tournament Committee and FOC and settled to Mr. Soter's satisfaction. The actual settlement of the issues wasn't discussed and the motions were not directly addressed having already been withdrawn.
At both of the meetings with Michael Massik at Coaches College he mentioned that the Tournament Committee has promised to have the day-by-day schedule for all NACs posted to the website by the end of August. The actual start times will not be available until after the close of registration for each NAC as they want accurate numbers before they plan how each day will go. Personally I'm surprised that they don't have enough good historical data to be able to get this pretty close without knowing how the current year's registration looks, but....

| I agree. USFA probably has the most comprehesive set of data on entries and trends and expected sizes. And given the size of the venue with the numbers of strips, many of the smaller entry events (women's sabre) can fluctuate in size by 20+ fencers and not cause too much of a ripple in the competition.
Many other tournaments estimate sizes based on past performances to set the check-in close times. How hard is that?

| Kind of off topic
Was there discussion at the USFA Board meeting about posting airport (and airport codes) that are near the stated venue? |

Send a note to suggestions@usfencing.org hopefully that'll help.
