    non working epee - socket

    i recently changed the 3 prong socket on my epee and now its dead. sometimes if i bend the socket back towards the guard i can get a light but once i let go i get nothing. any suggestions?

    disassemble the weapon and carefully inspect the wire where it enters the bell guard. You will probably find that the wire has become pinched when the weapon was reassembled.
    If this is the case then you can fix the broken wire by stretching enough of it out to wrap and solder to additional wire. If you are not familiar with this technique, then find an armorer who can help you or simply rewire the weapon.
