    Leo Paul Epee- Special nut?

Do Leon Paul Epee blades have their own special nuts?
I know they have their own special epee wires.
    Let me know.
I do not like Leon Paul, to work on that is.

Leon Paul does not have a special thread. If you order from anyone else other than Santelli you will get a standard 6x1mm tang thread. Santelli is the only vendor in the world that uses a 12-24 thread as a standard on all of the blades that they thread in-house.
American Fencer Supply and Sword Masters carries a pretty go stock of Leon Paul Blades.
I would stay away from Leon Paul points. Use either a good French or Uhlmann points.
    Best of Luck,

Thanks Sword Master, I did not know that. Our coach ordered the blade, so I will have to ask him where he ordered it from.
We have also been having trouble lately with threading barrels on two new foil blades. Does Santelli use a different thread for the barrels as well? I think our coach has been ordering through Blue Gautlett?
    Thanks.

All foils have the same thread on the tip, 3.5x.6mm, -some are formed beter than others. I have found that if you very carefully chamfer the leading thread this will aid in starting the barrel onto the tip. Also, while you are there chamfer the grove (round it out) so that the wire will not be cut by any sharp edges when you are assembling the point.
    Cheers!
