| Vendor Anyone have comments about Physical Chess? I just ordered their washable glove, got great service, haven't fenced with the glove yet though How are their parts more specifically?

| My understanding is that Physical Chess is part of Blade's network of stores. I believe Stan has Physical Chess, Blade and Allstar. I'm happy and surprised to hear that you got good service, but maybe he started to hire good help -- since he's not worth much. I digress again.... |

| I'm also surprised to hear you got great service. My experience has been poor with PC.

| Huh...I just ordered a replacement blade from PC, no problems.
I placed the order online, and had a question about the order. A woman called me within 10 minutes to answer the question. My blade even showed up a day earlier than estimated.
Oh, and at their booth at Summer Nationals, three of my friends all said the Physical Chess reps paid the most attention to my friends and were the most helpful armorers there. They all ended up buying starter equipment through PC due to their good experiences. |

| PC is owned and run (with an Iron Hand) by Constanten Bardok (sp), That is Stanaslov's youngest son. Stan is the owner of Blade, Fence Smart and is the Allstar distributor for the US (go figure). From time to time they would combine shipments and share employees - but only when they are getting along. They are in a not getting along mood right now. PC pretty much has the same sources as Blade.

(from the PC website) Further more, Physical Chess is operating independently. In years past we have partnered with other fencing companies and this slowed us down. The decision to be without partners has enabled us to better handle our customer’s specific requests and provide faster more reliable service.
| Interesting given that they were sharing a booth and had combined banners with Santelli a month ago at Nationals. As Scott mentions, PC is the son, Blade et al is the father. Perhaps after familial problems he's partnering with Santelli? Still makes the claim of independence somewhat suspect.

| When I livind in NYC breifly I used Physical Chess because I could walk there and because I very much dislike Blade. In person the man running it was very helpful and answered my questions well. I haven't ever ordered from them long-distance. |

| I quit ordering anything from them after the third time I ordered gloves for a PE class and they didn't arrive for nearly 6 weeks. their service may be getting better but it will be along time before I trust them again.

| They combine at Nationals to spilit the cost of the booth fees. PC is not part of Blade anymore. Father and Son fight.

Actually, my glove showed up a day before they said.
Maybe customer service through the website is better than on the phone? |
