Check out the reviews page. There is a ton of good information there. Also, if you told us how you fence (flick, hard parries, hard hitter, etc.), how long you have fenced, and rather or not you are looking for a practice or an electric blade we could give you a better answer.

My short answer is to go with a Vniti that has a good German tip and decent (read Uhlmann or LP) furniture. It is a great blade that is FIE, does not cost a fortune, and will last just about forever!

Good luck!

You can look up some complete foils and parts at the reviews section: http://www.fencing101.com/reviews/ . Most of the vendors will put on "generic" (read chinese or russian) parts unless you specify that you want the "good" (german, Leon Paul) parts. I've found that the "name brand" parts tend to be of higher quality and last longer than the cheapies.

Let us know what you end up getting and how it performs for you.

Cheers,
Craig
