Fundraising Many grocery stores such as Safeway, King Soopers, Vons, Publik and Kroger have plans where an organization can either sell certificates or have individuals sign up by email which enables the organization to receive funds from all purchases made by these individuals. Neighbors, friends, etc. can sign up and designate the organization where they would like the funds to go.
Since we must all purchase groceries, etc. this is a painless way for a Division or non-profit club to raise money.
Would like to get other ideas on fundraising. -

Array IMO the best idea is to get little kids in your club to go around their neighbourhoods asking for sponsors or donations.
If there aren't any little kids around... ehh... anything up to 25 yr olds work... but its most effective with small children -

Array Whatever you do...please, please, please.... Don't resort to putting kids on a median strip at a busy intersection with colored buckets and matching t-shirts to raise money for your organization. That method has been co-opted by the homeless and is really just pan-handling. I thought it was a local thing, but recently saw it in Austin as well. Do we really want to teach the youth that if you need money, just go out on the street corner and ask for it? Its poor leadership for adults to condone it. What happened to carwashes, bake sales, candy sales and other more entrepeneurial enterprises that provide a service or goods in exchange for support?

Array On the local college campus, a bake sale for "donations" as in nothing actually has a price, can provide a few hundred dollars in an afternoon.
