New Mask Question I know this must be common knowledge amongst you seasoned fencers...
I just recently purchased the Triplette starter set with the #1999 mask, but when I got the mask, the tonge is sticking straight out backward! I don't want to try bending it for fear of weakening/breaking something, and I'm wondering what the right thing to do is.
Yes, I've been fencing for 6 months, but up until now I've been using loaner equipment so I've never had to deal with it. :-)

Yes, I've been fencing for 6 months, but up until now I've been using loaner equipment so I've never had to deal with it. :-) Just bend it to fit your head -- they are just manufactured that way.

Thanks. I just wasn't sure if there was some special tool or method to it. I should be all set now.
