go to www.fencingfootage.com and watch some foil clips. the thing where the blade bends and "flicks" them on the side, or on the back.

Mischa is on a distinguished road
Why don't we just create a 'sticky' flicking discussion thread?

If you have a question on flicking, ask your coach, not the board, you want one answer, not 154

There are so many threads here on flicking, how to flick, how to defend against a flick, why flicking is bad why flicking is good, etc. A webpage only about foil flicking would be useful to direct people to read.
I basically learned everything via experience and fellow fencers. Over the top flicking, around the flank (outside-line) flicking, inside-line flicking, flick riposte, flick against left-handers, flick against flick, flick against in-line, in-line against flick, tall person flicker, short person flicker, In-fighting flicking, stop-hit vs flick, jumping and flicking, low line flick, flicking behind your back while close quarters fighting, flicking-fleche, coupé-flick, blades to flick with, blades you can't flick with, large motion (with fore-arm) flick, small motion (with wrist) flick, flicking vs arrogant beginners for fun, flicking vs. Italian grip fencers, flick practicing, flicking without inflicting pain, horizontal flicking, vertical flicking, diagonal flicking, counter-attack flick, remise flick, in quartata vs flick... footwork, tempo, and distance are required as much if not more with flicking as with a non-flicking game.
