    Blade upkeep

Hi I am taking my senior pics on Wensday and I want to get my foil blades in better condition. I have a couple of rust spots that I can't get off plus some nicks and burrs. Can anyone suggest a fast way (other than buying new ones) to make them look better? Thanks alot.

Two items will help. Abrasive Block. You can get this through fencing supplies, but you can something very similar through a hobby store that is used for model car racing and at a lot cheaper price.

The second is a Scotch Brite pad, like you see on the other side of a sponge. You can get them at a hardware store. They are color coded. Green is general purpose and is the one mostly used. If the blades are extremely bad, you could go with brown. White is like fine sandpaper.

The blade is in the picture?

For general fencing, steal wool or sanding blocks work fine. If you are going for the photo shine, silver polish, brasso or something like that and polish it up like a new penny.

    Cheers
