| Fencing.net get together at Nationals? Not to be the computer geek; but I was wondering if there was any sort of get together for the fencing.net folks at nationals?
Would be fun to see who everyone is. (Although, I know a bunch of you already)
Just an idea.

| Maybe at the Wellesly Inns & Suites, considering that many of us are staying there...
And playing poker there, too.

| I'd be willing to do that. I am also at Wellesley Inn and Suites.
Suggestions for a day?

| It would also be fun to do a best "jup13Dragmanflyclaw" impersonation contest. Maybe Barry could bring a Clear Visor XChange sabre mask as a door prize.
Alas, I am only there thru July 1st...

| I don't know about the others, but I am at the Wellesley Inns that's about 1.5 miles from the venue, it's on the other side of the river, and if my orientation is correct, southeast of the venue.

| How about on the Wednesday. That way, those who arrive later in the week will be around, and those who arrive earlier in the week might still be around.
Or, we can have multiple get-togethers. How about a BBQ in the parking lot?

And our rooms have little refrigerators to keep our bottles of whatever (health tonic, I was told) cool to cold.

| Craig, That makes two wallflowers that we know of. Bring your laptop and keep the rest of us posted on the events; not that we expect you to post on everything, just the events that you're able to.
I need to stop feeling sorry for myself. I feel stupid now. I had a good time in Japan, why should I expect to go everywhere and do everything! I was reminded by the reference to the refrigerator, because in Japan, I had a well stocked refrigerator and I did a little unwinding. Actually, we had a nice time at the cocktail party that was arranged I ended up drinking about a half a bottle of sake with some old men and we all had a great time, and also we all danced I had to dance with a bunch of old ladies, but what the hell. Then we did some kareoke, believe it or not, by the time the kareoke machine went on, I was ready, someone videoed the whole thing [ah yes Japan and the camera] and someone there has it all on tape, the whole drunken scene. Actually it was quite lovely, and an unforgetable "golden memory".
So now I should wish everybody good luck and just do my homework assignment to copy one master for my next art class and wish everyone on the board the very best of luck and get out there and win, and when in doubt, keep you back leg strong, parry parry, then hit, and riposte, and get that point on there! |

| Do say hi to me at Summer Nationals, folks -- when I introduce myself to fencing.net people at events, they always seem to know who I am already . . . I'll be there the 28th through the 2nd.

| Hi peach.....peace!
Even trolls need friends....what is wrong with you. People are not looking for friends by posting, and it appears by the amount of posting I see here, you win? If you get to our area, please! don't look for trolls here, we don't have any. Everyone who passes under the bridge, passes freely.
I hope the results come in soon. I am sitting here waiting for Div I to finish up and possibly by tomorrow the results will be posted. The suspense is sorta terrible...[that's another one......Tang the Terrible] I keep thinking of good names. That's okay, you can call me a drag queen if you want, in fact it's good for my image, who wants to be instantly reconized. I've been very good friends with mango for sometime now, and plan to continue to stand up for her. Mango likes to remain single, she doesn't hide behind a pair of pants or someone else's income. She's very self sufficient and would rather starve than hook up with someone for the sake of appearances. |
