| Probably, everyone is tired from the long debate prior to this. Also, 10 minutes is a mere token. A lot of stations do "spots" just to fill in air-time. Don't expect anything to arise from it.

| Graph,
I am really excited about it. There have been two big stories on fencing in the past few weeks. It is an indicator of things to come. Fencing is starting to get noticed.
Bout time.
However, I had to watch all this weird stuff trying to see the fencing. Poo!

| Hi graphhix, it's nice to see you once again. I think we talk so much about fencing with each other that it's not exciting anymore. It's like going to a job now. Getting myself motivated to go to class is becoming that way also, that's why I digress every once in a while into other subject areas, because there's not much to say except: parry, riposte and a few fencing puns like re-post; or lame joke; etc. Most of the hairy men talk about their stomachs and try to meet people at fencing rounds; others, like myself, talk about fencing, politics, war, feret out evil; and if someone else on the board paints watercolor for example, I would like to have a few "pointers" [another one, see?] on that.
This is too long a reply, that's a really neat fencing mask!!! |

Giving a dog a bone is not a promotion.

See my response to 355.
And, uh... It takes the two of you now? Ha! What have you been doing, browsing the posts to find my text? Ah, funny. Woo! No, I am quite happy. You two make my day.

no, you'll find that it takes much more than just 355 and i, i mean, the last time you went on a blocking spree, it was oiuyt, epeemike and i....
and, actually, i read most of the posts. i just don't feel the need to say something in all of them
(especially the foil ones, i'm completely useless there) |

| TIVO-ing fencing coverage At the risk of sounding like an A/V nerd, does anyone know now if there is a way to get TIVO to record fencing related items on ESPN? A general record by keywork Fencing and Sport/Fencing didn't catch this (although it is auto-recording the episode of the Family with the fencing thing in it). |

-B | Ouiyt:
Quite right. Ouiyt forms logical arguments, however misguided they may be.
355:
As for being an "a-hole of the year," I think it speaks volumes to see that your arguments have been reduced from poor logic to useless verbal insults.

-B | not in this thread, in the screaming thread all those weeks ago...
Catal, to whtouche- "I'm putting you on ignore, because you're an idiot and I'm tired of dealing with you."
Catal, to me- "Anyway, you're on my ignore now. I'd much rather argue with someone that can form a coherent analysis."
Catal, to epeemike81- "I'm putting you on ignore as well. You're clearly one of the same group who will always sell cookies and never, ever understand why fencing isn't on TV."
hrm, after a general poking around i can't find documentation of catal ignoring you.... *shrug* i wonder why i thought he did? |

Please stick around and participate! I'll be sitting on the edge of my seat to read your posts with enthralling interest, avidly awaiting your insights into the world of fencing. :dusts off ash: And thanks for the flame! I do so hope I see you on the strip; if you fence like you post, I'll really enjoy the 7 touch advantage from all the red cards for poor-sportsmanship and arguing with the ref.
(and to address the only person actually posting something related to the topic of the thread in long time) Woodside, I can't answer your question, but I'm curious: how much fencing-related programming does your tivo manage to catch? |

As mentioned previously he never blocked me (or said that he was going to block me, I don't have any evidence that anyone was ACTUALLY blocked).
Catal doesn't let my reasoning sway his opinions whatsoever, but at least he recognizes that what I'm saying is coherent, reasoned, and appropriate (by whatever standards he applies). Therefore I was never threatened with blockage. Now if only I could get him to admit that my arguments were correct. :)
