    Summer Nationals Team Entries

I finally received my confirmation packet for Nationals

I finally received my confirmation packet for Nationals

I actually received two sets of the same thing.

I did not, however, receive a confirmation for the team entry nor do I see our team listed on the USFencing web site. Has anyone else entered a team and had this problem?

    Cheers

There's only one team entry listed in WS. The list of confirmed entries is only as of May 14th, though.

We decided not to field a team, though we qualified one because nobody in our club is fencing the Division I and we'd have to stay a week longer to fence it. I wonder if that's what happened to some other teams.

    No Teams

The Under 19 Team was not listed for our club either!! Neither was the Div one. Was wondering....

We also have this problem for the team we have entered. Have sent the USFA an email, hopefully will get a response tomorrow.

    Also wondering u19teams

Several of my fencers entered u19 teams and are not confirmed

Does anyone know whether the USFA is allowing composite teams this year? These were both the only teams from our division in U19 and were entered as "composite".

    I suppose I could read the rules updates . . .

    Sex change at Nationals?

Well USFA has updated the team entries on the web site. They have added 3 of the 4 Tulane teams and apparently I am also a women's foil team.

I hope they correct it soon but currently I am listed as a women's foil team. Do I have to pass a physical to qualify as a women's team? I guess I could wear breast plates and shave real close.

Austin should be fun. I think we have 11 people in our hotel room and I have to fence as a women's foil team.

As stated on the entry form (so you didn't even have to go looking for BOD minutes) there are no composite teams allowed this year. Not that this was publicized well (other than on the entry form) and I'm sure you're not the only team that got caught in this. Sorry.
