    Famous Fencers and Movies

I've been asked to do a bit of research for my club's page and I thought I'd
    try the easy way first

I've been asked to compile a list of famous fencers and good fencing movies.
Anything you can give me is good, but a short Bio of the fencers or
description of the Movies would be ideal.

Well, first of all, do your own blasted research: trolling newsgroups
    for freebies doesn't count!

Second, Everyone knows about Errol Flynn and Douglas Fairbanks Sr./Jr.
I would start with lesser-known names, and two come to mind: Stewart
Granger and Melchoir Ferrer (not related to Jose or Miguel Ferrer).
These gentlemen both starred in the 1950's classic "Scaramouche" one
of the finest fencing adventure films ever made IMNSHO. I will point
you to www.imdb.com arguably one of the Top Ten Websites *ever,*
    *anywhere.*

    cheers,

    TC
