You fence?!

The best one I ever got was when our group did a demo at an outdoor concert event. It was one of those events held in a field with lots of concerts, tattoo and piercing places, etc. We were going to demo on one of the exhibition states, right after "cardio kickboxing".

We show up in our whites, carring our equipment bags. Security checked us over VERY carfully. Then they called local police over to check us out. Finally, they brought over a guy to escort us to our stage, telling us to wait there until they came back and got us.

So, as our escort is walking us to our stage, he asks us what we're doing. "Fencing", we tell him.

"Oh, where'd they want you to put it?"
"Put what?" Ok, we missed it.
"The fence. I figure they want it around the giant pop can over there. People keep messing with it. You got your tools in the bags, or is the fence in there, too? Can't be very big if it is."

Second place goes to a rural school we did a demo for. When told, most of the kids were not impressed. As one teacher told us, "One boy said he had plenty of that at their farm and couldn't they have something MORE fun than that?". Needless to say, they REALLY enjoyed our demo.

I wish that when people made dumbass remarks about fencing, we could just give them a sign that says something like "me are stupid"



"have you ever cut anybodies head off???"....YEAH!!! all the time....its leagal to kill people in fencing.....*sigh*
