| Most comfortable mask What do you think? I think P.B.T. is the most comfortable mask I've ever tried, hands down. BG's olympic is comfy too

| In my experience, i have only use 3 different type of masks, so please exscuse my lack of experience. The Negrini FIE foil/epee mask is te mst comfortable, but also the heaviest. The second mask I woud say in comfort is the Prieur Fie foil mask whish has a ssignificant amout comfort for it's weight. But the third and final mask i have used and would not reccomend is the allstar mask whish is almost as heavy as the negrini, but seems to be less comfrotable than the Prieur.

| I'm all for the Uhlmann Mask. Not the FIE variety, but the standard mask.
My daughter likes the Triplette mask.

| mask comfort I have had Uhlmann, Negrini, and Prieur masks none of which I found "comfortable" to wear. As a glasses wearer I also have other concerns as well as comfort. Since I needed a current FIE approved mask for an upcoming competition, I looked around and thought I'd give the Leon Paul "contour fit" mask a try. Wow! The adjustable fit is unbelievable. I can't bear to wear any of my other masks even for practice. You will be spoiled. One small feature that I did not notice when I first got the mask, is the molded round edging they put on the back of the mask. This small increase in diameter has so far eliminated the occasional whipover to the back of my head. I would definately recommend this mask to anyone.

| I like the LP mask with the contour fit system. It's excellent. One of the innovations that I think LP have really done well. The mask is light and as airy a mask as you could want. Higly reommended. |

| I think the triplette masks are the most comfy I have tried, but I am funny about things interfering with my hearing as it is bad enough already. Having said that the next one I buy will be an Uhlmann. The triplettes tend to rust around the edges of the bib unless you baby them an undue amount for a mask IMHO.

| Masks I have to admit that my all time favourite mask has been an old LP mask. I have had it FOR EVER (6 years) and it has had the hell beat out of it (I am one of those 3-weapon dabblers) and still passes the punch test. Only recently has the green lining finally worn through. I haven't tried the new comfort fit mask, but if it is anything like the old REGULAR LP mask, then sign me up!
(I also have a soft spot for the "funny looking" LP folded epees) *grin*

| I used to fence in a (team) Allstar FIE, but I recently bought an Uhlmann one. The Allatar one was a little tight around the face with glasses on. I find the new one fantastic! It fits whether I wear glasses or contacts - important since I usually compete in contacts, but practice in glasses. Two thumbs up so far. I hope it still feels as good in a year! |
