NYC World Cup Information

Received this email and thought it was a good post:
(Also, if anyone attends and has some news or updates, please email me at webmaster at fencing.net)

I reside in New York City, and find there to be a lack of information about how to attend the New York World Cup, which started today. It might be useful to post the following information on your Web site. I think the World Cup event should be a headline on your Web site, and it should be added to the events calendar, too. I have found the relevant information about how to attend, and wish to share it with your site visitors.

For people wishing to attend the NYC World Cup this weekend, here are links to the relevant information:

Schedule and Location of Events:

US Fencing Online

http://www.usfencing.org/

Under “US Fencing Headlines”, click on link entitled “Updated 2002-2003 Schedule”. Then click on the link entitled “New York World Cup, New York City, NY, 6/12/2003-6/15/2003”.

(Because of the frames, I cannot provide the direct link.)

Note that some events are held at Columbia University, and some are held at Grand Central Terminal’s Vanderbilt Hall (adjacent to the Main Concourse).

Getting to Columbia University:

The “New York World Cup” link, above, has a link with directions to the Columbia University site, or visit: http://www.columbia.edu/cu/fencing/Campus_Map.htm

Getting to Grand Central Terminal:

Train - MTA Metro-North Railroad
Subway - 4, 5, 6, 7, and S
Bus - M1, M2, M3, M4, M5, M42, M98, M101, M102, M104, Q32

Information on Grand Central Terminal’s Vanderbilt Hall:

http://grandcentralterminal.com/

Click on the “Vanderbilt Hall” link on the left-hand side of the screen.
