USFA Member numbers

Hello all.

Recently I competed in my first D and under Tournament. I enrolled in the USFA at the venue and fenced well enough to finish third and earn my E:E03.

This weekend I have another tournament in which I am competing (Georgia Games) and I haven't received anything from the USFA yet regarding my membership status. The application asks for my USFA member number, but I have not received one as yet. What do I need to do?

Thanks in Advance.

Chris

You should call the USFA and ask them for your USFA number:

(719) 866 4511.

Unfortunately, many tournament organizers are slow in sending in new membership applications to the National Office. Did you get a receipt?

As stated previously you can call the USFA office at 1-719-866-4511 or info@usfencing.org requesting them to email you confirmation that you are a USFA member with the member number so you can bring a copy of this to the GA State Games.

If they do not have a record of your membership, I'd go to www.gafencing.org to get contact information for the Division Secretary and send email explaining that you fenced in a previous tournament (mention where) and that you signed up for USFA at the tournament. Secretary will be able to confirm this information with the Organizer of the tournament you competed in.

Also, there has been a change in venue for the GA State Games.
Originally was going to be at Life University but now will be at:

Hoyt Smith Recreation Center
3444 North Fulton Ave
Hapeville, GA 30354

The event schedule remains the same

Do them a favor and email rather than call. For things like this it works just as well (you're going to want the email confirmation anyway) and doesn't tie up the staff or phones lines as much.

If you can send National Office a request by email rather than by phone, do it. It just makes things better for everyone. They can process more requests faster which means more work gets done by an already overloaded staff.

Thanks for all the info. I sent in an email asking for my number and got it back about an hour later.
