The adidas court shoe I bought when it first came out Nov. 2002 was the 'Respsonse' model.

It's got white canvas or look like canvas top.
good solid GRIPPY soles. Esp. for regular, dusty gym floor which causes the 'Equipment' fencing shoe to slip sliding away.
Excellent foot box, hence good support.
What I find best, better than my 'Equipment' Fencing shoes: they've got plenty of toe room, something the Equipment don't have.
The shoe laces stay done up.

The only minor complaint I have is that, in order to provide the support on top, the entry point is smaller than usual. This is easily remedied with a shoe horn. (Yes, I carry one in my fencing bag.)

In Nov. the Response sold for CAD100.
