Going to US Nationals? What would make it a success to you?

Maybe this should be a survey/quiz by Craig, but I'll bet there are lots of reasons folks have for going to the US Summer Nationals.

Yes, we all covet medals, classifications, and "doing well." How about others? Beat last year's champ in your pool? Get a touch on an "A" fencer of renown?

I for one live to see the day I can give my coach the coach's medal. And oh yeah, maybe find an FIE epee blade or two that I like at a good price.

Im going to win div 2 MS, and staying to watch all the div 1 events, cheer on some friends, and just hang out with a very dense concentration of cool people.

What would make it a success?

    1. My kids fence well, and come home ready to rumble for the next season.

    2. I don't blow out a knee or otherwise humiliate myself in the Veteran's event.

    3. We arrive home with more than $23.12 in our bank account.

I'll be fencing in the Y14 women's epee. Success at the S.N would be if:

    1) Everyone from my club fences very well
2)My equipment doesnt die on me, like during a bout
    3) I could get a rating, and/or come home with a medal
