With Harvard's last two recruitment classes, it appears to me that they are starting to contend at the highest levels of the NCAA. Do you all agree? disagree? why or why not?
A little background:
This year Harvard sent 5 fencers to NCAA championships (Julian Rose in ME, Tim Hagaman and David Jakus in MS, Anne Austin and Chloe Stinetorf in WF). ALL of Harvard's invitees were Freshman.
As of next year, Harvard will be picking up Enoch Woodhouse in men's foil (17th on the senior points, 3rd on junior), Teddy Sherrill in men's epee (8th junior).
I also heard rumors about another strong men's foilist and a strong women's epeeist. anybody have more info on that??
