Fencing up north! Hi, I live in Yorkshire (Yeah, I know, but it's not my fault!) Happily, I go to university in Wales (!) and joined the fencing club. I have now been fencing for just under two years, and I've been in a couple of competitions.
My problem is that on returning home, the nearest fencing club is forty minutes away by train, and finishes at ten at night or something. I live near Scarborough, and want to try and find other fencers who live nearby, so I can set up a club in Scarborough, or maybe Bridlington.
If anyone has anything relevant to say, or just wants to laugh at the fact that I live in Yorkshire (I wasn't born there, OK? My family moved there six years ago.), then reply. -

Array Another online resource that you might be interested in is www.fencingforum.com
Run by Leon Paul, it's a similar board to this one but primarily UK-centric. Same style board as here, with several posters in common (including myself). They're both well worth reading, but for people in the UK looking for local information fencingforum's a much better bet.

Array fencingforum.com Yes TAJ83, would second you logging onto fencingforum.com.
It is very relevant to UK fencers: quite a few UK fencers read the forums, some UK coachs, some UK equipment suppliers, some serious UK referees do and a number of UK (and US) armourers etc.etc.
