Hotel in Austin

Many fencers are staying at the Wellesley Inn and Suites Austin Town Lake which is only 1.3 miles from the venue. This was mentioned on a previous thread.

I was fortunate to pick up some rooms at this hotel for $27 a night on www.hotwire.com. Unfortunately, when you go to hotwire the hotel is not listed but a hotel is listed for $27 a night which I'm assuming is the same one. If interested, hotel is listed in Town Lake area.

Also, for those staying there. Anyone interested in a cook out or two.

Cook out or two. Sounds like a plan. Also, because of the possibly large number of fencers staying there, we should see if we can make some impromptu ride-sharing schedule, especially if there are people who have cars there.

I was planning on taking a taxi every morning. I still might, but if there are several others who are going at the same time, we can easily split the fare.

The great thing about the Wellesley is that they all have kitchenettes, so if not a cook-out, at least a cook-in and have a party at each fencer's room every night. Where's the nearest liquor store? Gotta get my Guinness and Coronas for the whole nine yards.
