    50th Anniversary!

June 2nd is the 50th anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II coronation ceremonies. (Her 50th to Asscension was celebrated last year!)

Whether in the Commonwealth or not, I hope all will say "God Save the Queen!" at least once.
No holidays here, but an important celebration to recognize Canada's head of state!

    Best regards all!

    Funny thing...

Interesting that Fuse, formerly Much Music, was playing The Queen is Dead by The Smiths this morning!!

....... just kidding!!! But your post made me start playing the song in my head.

BTW, is Canada on the same page with Oz, in wanting to get out of being a Commenwealth? What's the status of that.

oh, dun want to be rude.

    ahem, "God Save the Queen!"

    Uh, no.

Australia had a referendum whether they wanted to leave the commonwealth, and they voted to stay. Canada is not facing that decision right now.
