Driveable restaurants aren't that valuable really. Yes, they do add SOMETHING, but what's in walking distance of the hotel(s) and venue is vastly more important. If I'd flown into Providence for a competition I wouldn't be looking to rent a car to explore the suburbs.

you can't fly into providence. you fly into warwick, which is just south of providence. there's an entire town separating warwick from providence.

if you flew into warwick, however, you could WALK to my house, if you wanted. i live maybe a mile away. well.... now that they made the brandy new terminal, it'd end up being a mile and a half? maybe...


the real problem with using providence as a venue is that there are lots and lots of hotels all around anywhere we'd use as the venue, but all the hotels around the places are too expensive.

and it's more like the restaurants are a trolley ride from the hotels... the good ones anyway, the food right near downcity (the providence term is down city, not downtown...)

providence is really one big outcropping of neighborhoods- the more city-esque bad parts of town, all that have their own distinctive flavors, and then the better part of town, which has subdivisions.....

i love providence... what's skeevy about it?

and i call sleeping on the floor in morra's room near the bed with DJ AP and oiuyt!!! (we figured two in her bed and three on the floor.... you two won't be alone...)

and if you weren't sleeping at morra's, and i wasnt' either... you'd drive to providence from MY house.... i live far enough away from prov to make you at ease.... and my couch is longish... you'll fit...
