Directoins to the event:
Coming From Atlanta (I-75 North)
Take I-75 North to Exit 290 (Highway 20, the sign says "Rome/Canton"). Go to the traffic light at the end of the ramp and turn Left onto Hwy. 20 West. Take Hwy. 20 West until the next traffic light (after the hospital, fire station, and trailer park.) Turn left at this light and immediately turn right onto Hwy. 41 North (turn right before going under the bridge) After about 2 miles (after the traffic light,) turn right to exit onto Hwy. 411 South/Hwy. 20 West. After about 16 miles and three traffic lights, get in the right lane and take the middle exit ramp (the sign above the ramp says Rome) This road turns into Turner McCall Blvd. as it goes into town. Just after you get into town, take a right at the 2nd traffic light onto Cooper Dr. Take the next right onto Holmes Rd. St Mary's is on the left between Cooper and 7th St. Park in the lot and follow the signs to the fencing tournament.
=======================
Coming From Chattanooga (I-75 South)
Take I-75 South to Exit 306 (Hwy. 140; Adairsville/Rome). This is about 55 miles south of Chattanooga. Turn right at the end of the exit ramp and take Highway 140 through Adairisville to Highway 53 (Highway 53 is a little less than 10 miles from I-75.) Turn left onto Highway 53 West. Take Highway 53 West for several miles. You will come to the intersection at Veteran's Highway (Highway 1 Loop.) There will be a couple of churches and a storage place on your right. Go through this intersection. Go for 2.3 miles (3 more traffic lights.) The fourth traffic light is at a big intersection where Highway 53 forks around a "Golden Gallon" convenience store. Take the left fork going to the right of the Golden Gallon. The road will turn into Martin Luther King Blvd. Turn left at the next light onto Turner McCall Blvd. At the 3rd traffic light on Turner McCall, take a left onto Cooper Dr. Take the next right onto Holmes Rd. Coming From Huntsville
Take Highway 72 to the Tennessee River (Scotsboro.) Go over the river (I think the bridge over the river is Highway 35.) After going over the river, take Highway 40 to I-59. Go over I-59 and take Highway 117 through Hammondville and Mentone and into Georgia. After you reach Cloudland, GA, take Highway 48 to Summerville. After you pass the traffic light at Mount Berry Square Mall and the one at Berry College, Highway 20 will turn into Martha Berry Blvd. Stay on Martha Berry and take a left at the next light onto Veterans' Memorial Highway (Highway 1.) Take Veteran's Highway through two traffic lights, then take a right onto Highway 53 at the 3rd light. St Mary's is on the left between Cooper Dr. and 7th St. Park in the lot and follow the signs to the fencing tournament.
=======================
Coming From Birmingham
Take I-59 to Gadsden (via I-759) After I-759 ends, take Highway 411 North/East to Centre. From Centre, take Highway 20 East into Rome. Highway 20 turns into Shorter Ave. Take Shorter Ave. through town. A little less than 5 miles from the Sam's/Wal Mart shopping center, you will pass Darlington Lower School and Horseleg Creek Rd (on your right) Just after you pass Darlington, the road will split two ways. Keep going straight; keeping Hardee's on your right. The road will turn into Turner McCall Blvd after you pass Hardees. Stay on Turner McCall. After you go through the traffic light at the Burger King and K-Mart Super Center, take the next left onto Cooper Dr. Take the next right onto Holmes Rd. St Mary's is on the left between Cooper Dr. and 7th St. Park in the lot and follow the signs to the fencing tournament.
