    Fencers on long island....

    anyone here fence at the Stony Brook fencing club, or nearby? if so i might be at SBU next semester, let me know.

    hi graphix-addict; good luck out on the island. but you're already studying so you must be transferring, which is smart if you want fencing; look at the usfa site the last people who fenced well in nationals, from long island, maybe it was long island city? you'll get some good photos of the north shore; oyster point; i don't know if you'll see much of the old way of life; but a friend of mine wrote a book about living on the bay in long island, it was a photograph album of the people who live and work on the bay, clamming and fishing and living in 'bay houses', it's nice out there, ducks and lobstering out on the island also. that way of life is fading, maybe you can catch some of it.

    awesome jupiter....yea the way of life in LI can be very nice, i lived in the hamptons (east and west) for a 4 years, its really wonderful out their, peaceful, wonderful beaches im looking forward to being close to it again. enjoy the art class.
