The best FIE gear?

Hello,

Im currently looking for FIE gear for the next season, and am looking for the best quality, that provides the best standard of safety and at the same time comfort and if possible style. A couple days ago a foil was broken on me and I was nearly impaled. This wakeup call prompted me to go FIE hunting for a complete set. Sp the question is, who makes the best stuff, and why?
Ive looked at Allstar, Uhlmann, Carmimari, Santelli, Leon Paul, Duellist, and Prieur. I cannot figure out what the advantages of the diffrent materials are, and why people like stuff like startex.

thanks for the input, its much appreciated.

All of the FIE clothing offers about the same level of protection (that's why it's FIE). The startex material stretches so it's more comfortable. The difference between brands is pretty much just how they fit. I've found the PBT jackets fit me well (they have readily available tall sizes), but I have Allstar knickers. I had a friend with an FIE Leon Paul jacket and it fell apart when he bleached it. Bleaching is bad for any jacket, but the layer of balistic material in his disintegrated. I think they may have changed their design since then (he bought it about 6-7 years ago).

Anyway, after rambling on:
just find what fits you best.
