any luck with ....

salutations all!

im looking to buy a lower priced pistolgrip foil, and i was wondering if anyone has had any luck with blue gauntlet blades.. their foils seem to be the cheapest i can find, and i know that in most cases you get what you pay for , but still id like to know if their equipment is of good quality.

thanks

I don't know which Foil they sell that you are referring to, or what it comes with / on, but...

I've been disappointed with the SG Foil blades sold by Blue Gauntlet. I've had 3 of them (and one Epee) and they were the shortest lived of the many I've tried.

- could be my bad luck, could be a pattern....

I've found the blue gauntlet (SG) epee blades to be very long lived because they are so flexible it's like fencing with a limp noodle. In short, I don't like them, but have found they last a long time if you are willing to straighten the blade after every touch.
