| old signaling unit for new electric saber - part 2 Hello again ,
some one told me to try and short out the 2 pins which are closest together
, so i tried it ......
it's not working - I tried to short out the wire but it have no effect on
the BOX .....
I'm using an electric saber with no sensor (it's an old allstar saber that
use to have a sensor - I disconnected all the cables and reset the socket so
it will work with
the new BOX system at competition ect` - and it works just fine)
but when I try to use it (or even use a new saber) it's not working.....
the short out had no effect - with it or with out it the BOX is not working.
the only thing that I managed to discover is that when I connect the cable
to the BOX the lights of the sensor is off but when I pull the cable out a
bit the sensor light
is on and then the BOX is working just fine (!) - the only problem with that
is that I cannot set the cable to the right place - it's almost all out so
the white light is on
most of the time or the cable is too much inside so the sensor light went
off again ....
so.. - now I know that in order to make the BOX work with a saber that have
no sensor (the new electric system for saber) - I need the sensor light on
the BOX to be
on - but the only way that I found to do that is to pull the cable a bit out
from the BOX (but then I have the problem with the white light that light up
if I pull it too far
away).
maybe I tried to short out the worn cables ? (I tried connecting together
with a pepper clip the 2 pins which are closest together - but it didn't
help , so I tried
connecting the singe pin with each one of the others - but still no good -
the sensor lights off and the BOX is not working.....)
Any ideas ?
Best Regards
