| A 1000 entries and the convention center and motel is a walk of about 20 feet from the lobby.
See you all there

| A walk of 20 feet...pshaw!
Where's the Bataan-like march of 6.57 miles like we had between venues at the Junior Olympics? At over a mile in altitude!
The organizers have obviously gotten soft on the fencers.
And, anybody else find it odd to match a Div 1 event with a NAC Y10, Y12, Y14 event?

| That's right. Last year at this time was the Div I (elite) Nationals in Louisville KY. It was held in conjunction with the youth NAC as well.
The Div I NACs are held once with the veterans, once with the juniors, and once with the youth.
The list of competitors are on the US Fencing website.

Total, it would probably be nearly, or over, 300 competitors, so no, it won't be a snoozer; alot of skilled fencers are going. And the convention center is brand new, and HUGE! I should know cause Overland Park is my hometown. Hope I helped |

| The Men's Foil Y14 and Y12 competitions have over 130 and 105 competitors, respectively. |

| Yes, mo, there are restaurants/shopping centers/grocery stores nearby, but you still need a car, ALOT faster.- and there's lots you can do here if you look in all the right places. BTW, the closest grocery store that I know of is Hen House, about 10-15 min by car. Go to http://www.mapquest.com/directions/ for more miscellanious places. |
