Where can you find out who is on the US fencing team?

I want to know if someone I know is on it. And I'd like to see who I'll have to compete against for a spot.

Thanks!!!

From the US Fencing Website, www.usfencing.org:

http://usfencing.org/Points/Points.asp?Table=CdWF

At the bottom it tells you who competed internationally that season. The squad will of course change every year. You normally have to be in the top 16 to qualify for overseas events (sometimes top 24) - at the selection date that is.

For junior, at least, it's top 12.

Its more in some weapons. The us can send 8 fencers to europe world cups + the amount of people they had in in the top 32 of the fie standings. I think this past year junior ws saber could send 13 so the top 16 were qualified to go. Where as WE and ME could only send 8 so only the top 12 were qualified to go.

In GB they take the top 24 epee cadets to Dinant (Belgium). That's quite generous.

The us always designates at least one junior world cup for just cadets.

Sarah:

And, as you look at the rolling points list on the USFA website, also click on the cadet and junior "team" points standings. That's a good indication of who is standing where in the USFA's eyes for team selection.

Often, the rankings are the same as the regular rolling points list, but not always. Different events sometimes count towards team standings, but not NRPL rankings, and vice versa.

What are the qualification requirements for junior a-grades held in the US/Canada (i.e. Louisville and Montreal), if they hold them there again next year?

Since Sarah is a junior and does foil, maybe those two could be good competitions to aim to do as she works her way towards getting selected for A-grades in Europe?

Just a thought,
Boo
