| You can get rid of the sensor socket entirely (cut the wire), and then short the body cord socket (for 2 prong, just remove the plastic washer from the B-pin terminal, for LP bayonet connect a bare wire to the screw terminal and then wrap it securely around the metal bracket). Essentially, the entire sabre becomes a single node across the C and B terminals of the body cord.
Older sabre boxes need a firmware upgrade (i.e., a new chip that
plugs in to replace the original chip). You can expect to pay at least $100 for the new chip from Allstar or Uhlmann (I don't know what Leon Paul charges). If the box is from a manufacturer no longer in business (e.g., the Sabre Technologies boxes), you're out of luck.
