| Look through the profile or options menus, it's in there somewhere. I made my avatar.

| I think you need to have 100+ posts in order to pick your own avatar.

| Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you need to become a senior member (that means post 100 or more times) before your allowed to use your own avatar.
Prior to that, your stuck with what is offered from the site.

| Yep, off topic but it does give me the chance to test out my new avatar on this site. Cool.

| haggis,
That's the BEST avatar of all.
It's cool and patriotic flag-waving and all that ...
perhaps you should find one of a steaming haggis. More befitings your handle...

c-a-c,
I know you're new around here, it doesn't hurt to actuallyr ead the stuff the webmeister Craig put up so painstakingly. The answer to your question is out there... and if you had looked you'd have seen the cusom avatars that people like haggis, veeco and aoife put up. The last two are of course fotos of themselves.
I hope you don't take this as a criticism...(some of the people who post here - Would they be called 'posters'? - are rather, shall we say, thin-skinned.)

| Thanks for the compliments. The avatar was neatly lifted off another bulletin board and better reflects me than the skeleton thingy I had before (given my current physical shape, I really can't remember why I thought a skeleton was appropriate )
An avatar of a steaming haggis? Maybe more literal but not that nice and I hope the current avatar is a bit better. If I find an attractive looking haggis avatar I'll put it in.

| I can't explain exactly why, but I find that comment to be far too amusing for it's own good. |
