Silver/ white mask

I dont know if it should be called new. Silver masks have been around for a
while and i know someone who has had a white mask for about 2 years... maybe
uncommon would be a better term....

It's not really a color is it? It's just 'unpainted', right?

I have noticed at two recent Tournaments, that a few epee' fencers had the
new white/silver masks.

It is almost totally impossible to see the face, eyes, expression of the
fencers.

Is this the purpose of the "NEW" color or is it just fashion?

these mask seem to be a white silver in color seem to be painted.

My point being- is the purpose of this "NEWER" style mask, for the purpose
of camouflaging the eyes, or fashion?

It seemed as the fencers opponents had a difficult time reading the fencers
with the white/silver mask- as one fencer said" Its weird, you can't see
his eyes, where is he going?"
