Coupe du Nord in Mannheim, 10-11 May

I am probably not going to fence, since I'm completely overwhelmed by the distance learning masters program I've embarked on, but I will probably drift by, and maybe help out some.

These are fun events--there is traditionally a not-too-serious team event on Saturday, which tends to be catch-as-catch can--ie., if you want to fence, but you don't have a team, there is usually the opportunity to join an ad-hoc team at the last minute.

Some pretty good fencers (top 100 in the FIE rankings) will participate in the men's events, since there are WC points for the top eight.

I believe there is also a Coupe du Nord tournament in Belgium the week before. The CdN website is:
