National Collegiate Club Fencing Championships Results

Here're partial results from the National Collegiate Club Fencing
Championships held at the University of Florida last weekend (April
5th-6th). Next year's competition will be held at UNH.

OVERALL WINNERS, MEN:
Northwestern University/University of Massachusetts (Co-Champions, 95
wins each)
United States Military Academy – Army (3rd Place, 89 wins)
University of Florida (4th Place, 88 wins)

OVERALL WINNERS, WOMEN:
University of Florida (71 wins)
University of Massachusetts – 2nd Place (69 wins)
University of New Hampshire – 3rd Place (68 wins)

OVERALL WINNERS, 6-Weapon:
University of Massachusetts (1st Place, 164 wins)
Universtity of Florida (2nd Place, 159 wins)

They don't go to tiebreakers for the Intercollegiate Fencing/ECAC Championships
and I don't believe they do for the NCAA's either.

There will likely be a tie-breaking method in place for next year.
The proposed format is having the tied teams each pick 1 fencer per
weapon (likely the A-strip, but that won't be required). Each weapon
is fenced simultaneously, the result of the three bouts determines the
winner.
