The winners of this year's National Junior Sports Stars awards have
just been announced. You might have seen in the Irish Examiner or on
TV3's "Sports Tonight" programme that the phenomenally talented sabre
fencer Siobhán Byrne is one of the recipients of this prestigious
award.
The judges selected her for the award after a year which saw her take
home two silver medals in the Junior World Cup, the bronze at the
European Championships, and the gold at the German Open. By reaching
number 4 in the junior world ranking, Siobhán became the top ranked
European in the world.
You can vote for Siobhán to become the "Supreme National Junior Sports
