try http://www.amfence.com/
Or you could try any of the online used book sites: http://www.mxbf.com/ >MX BookFinder: Search for Out of Print and Used Books http://www.abebooks.com/ > antiquarian and hard to find book< http://www.interloc.com/ The ultimate source for out of print, rare and
antiquarian books. http://www.bibliofind.com/ >Bibliofind,books,Booksearch, Antiquarian

Though several of these are probably no longer in existance.

Well, that would be an option, but a better option would be from Santelli
through their on-line catalog for $19.95. | |

in the extreme and found said book in a Used store for like 2 bucks or
something. However, it would be in the spirit of free information and
brotherhood in communication for me to copy it for him now wouldn't
it?
Gavin, the libraries around my area suck and they don't carry it. You
are in the UK...I'd suggest you photocopy the book. It's a great read.
I WOULD have photocopied it if I hadn't found it at Bookmans Used
books. I suggest you ignore the sarcasm and unhelpfulness I see often
on this thread and get a copy by whatever means necessary.
People like Twernbold and Christoph Amberger are about as helpful as
instantaneous, explosive diarrhea at a pool party. **** em and get the
book however you can. I'm in the States so its difficult for me to
help you but I will if you've no other recourse. I gotta believe
Oxford has it in one of their libraries.
I got Christophs book at Barnes and Noble because at $2.99 USD it was
cheaper to buy it than to photocopy it. It's missing a few pages due
to his rather sarcastic and unhelpful comments on several threads vis
a vis me. It serves now as a coaster for my morning coffee and as a
nice substitute for toilet paper for when I forget to buy some. No

Good luck in your search,

Carol, the key is sensibly priced. By the time you include shipping to
GBR it'll be like $40.00 USD. The most sensibly priced way would be to
go to his local library and check it out and run to a self serve copy
shop......at most if he prints it two pages to a sheet would be like
10 bucks. I don't know how that converts into quid(I think that means
pounds sterling but not sure. Brit slang is not my thing) but at 1.6
to the dollar it should be about 6.25 pounds sterling. Of course he
should check his local used shops to see if he can find a copy.
Anyway, I'm having Marmite on toast this morning with scrambled eggs
and bacon.
Cheerio...or whatever they say in the motherland(after all we're the
Colonies right??? :-))

It's out of print over here. It's probably why he's asking a newsgroup
populated by predominantly foreign posters...
The few second-hand bookshops we have access to over here have no
copies of what he's asking for. If he finds a copy I'm fighting him
for it...

The healthy option, eh?

How interesting. I went looking on the net and found:
1. NADI, ALDO On Fencing New York Putnam 1943. First Edition. Signed
presentation copy inscribed by the author, Aldo Nadi to William
Faulkner, inscribed: "To Mr. William Faulkner, with my greatest
admiration, Aldo Nadi. Hollywoo, 1944 'To Have & Have Not!" Illustrated.
Offsetting on rear endpaper from clippings that were laid in, else a
very good plus lightly used copy in a very good dust jacket with a 1
1/2" x 1" piece missing on the front panel, a few small tears, and
slight dust soiling and spotting. A general and personal history of the
sport of fencing by Aldo Nadi, a world champion fencer. With a foreword
by Paul Gallico. Presented to Faulkner while he was in Hollywood writing
the screenplay for To Have and Have Not starring Humphrey Bogart and
Lauren Bacall, directed by Howard Hawks, and based upon the novel by
Ernest Hemingway. Bookseller Inventory #9447E Price: US$ 950.00
'Course at that price photocopying begins to make major sense.

Awww Come on now. "few second-hand bookshops" in the UK. That's got to
be a mis-call. We all acknowledge that the UK is the seat of english
letters. Should be able to find anything there.
Anyway called over to American Fencing - spoke with Laura a nice young
epeeist from Golden Gate Fencing Center - and AF will be happy to ship
a copy to whoever wants one. They didn't have a real handy price on
the cost of shipping. So I'm just guessing but I figure the price
would be in the order of USD $25-$30/GBP #16-#18.37, which I personally
think is overpriced for what I got out of the book. Otherwise if the
original poster wants it cheaper - hey it wasn't that great a read -
then he should just wait and keep checking the online used book stores
including Amazon - maybe after they finally sell that $950 thing
they'll come back to earth.

Really? I only live here. My experience obviously doesn't count. The
majority of 2nd hand bookshops wouldn't know a minority sport if it
slapped them round the face with a wet kipper.
The ones advertising on the 'net are next to useless.

You pay really for the autograph (if you are so inclined). Faulkner is
definitely better known than Nadi. Some Faulkner memorial may pay.
American Fencers Supply Co. copy + mailing to Europe $27.50

there they quoted me a price of something like USD $20. - please
excuse my memory - and I made the assumption of USD $5.00 to ship
as printed matter. If they actually jacked the price up that much
and someone needed/wanted a copy I'm sure we could make arrangements
to obtain and ship it for them. I've had to go over there twice in
