Qualifying for u19 nationals.

Ok, so today sectionals have come and gone. After being an idiot and ending up somewhere around 16th, and not qualifying this leaves me wondering.
I dont have national points so I cant auto qualify. Are there any other qualifying paths to junior nationals?
Someone said they if I finish well enough at senior sectionals I might be able to qualify for junior nationals..can anyone confirm this?
This is the last year I could fence juniors at nationals, and if I do it'd be my first time qualifying. After improving so much during this last year I just wanna see how I'd do. I just hope the door isnt shut..

I believe this might be true... I heard it about Div. 2 also, but can anyone confirm it?

Are you confusing Divisional qualifier with Sectional Qualifier?
If you fenced the open the top ten people qualify for Div 2 and 3 if you meet the other criteria.
If you came in 16th in Junior um sorry but you are out of the competition.

You didn't go to your division div II/III qualifiers? You can still fence those in nationals, and if you fence in your senior section championships you can qualify for div. 1-A. That's already three events, or do you have rating issues with the Div. II/III comp.?

A03 can't fence div two or three, and why go to austin just for div1a if i already have an A03? useless. i would go and fence there if i was there for junior anyway, but... why bother.

Because, it's a big tournament, and it's fun! I dunno, but half the reason nationals is cool is because of the atmosphere. Lotsa fencers, BIG fun competitions, and heck, if you do well you can brag how you did well at the National Championships ( )! Hehe, I dunno, it's not as if I have an A (I'm a lowly B), but if people are willing to go get their bootays kicked at some Div. 1 tourny in a forsaken spot in Kansas for one day, why not turn out for nationals? Maybe you could somehow qualify for Div. 1 too? Who knows! As long as you can afford it, I think it'd be good to go. If you won, say, junior, your rating wouldn't change either, you'd just get points that wouldn't count for next year because you're going out of it, right?

That sounds sort of similar to my situation. Yesterday at sectionals in initial seatings I was 3rd. My brain exploded in pools like it always does and I went 2 and 3.
Seated 24th. Bye into the 32, upset the 9, then lost to the 8, 15-14.
16th. Through 12 or 13 qualified.
Tho I do still have hope for div 2 and 1a..

div 1-a is a national event that you qualify for by coming in the top 30% or top 10, whichever is greater, at senior sectionals.
It's always at least an A3 event, that meaning that 1-4 get A's, -8 get Bs, etc etc.
However, you do not earn national points here.
Also if you finish well enough at div 1a, you can be auto qualified for div 1 championships the next year even if you arent on the points list.
