Now I'm curious. Of you sabre fencers, what are your ratings?
I earned my 'C' last week (woot). Anyone?

I been fencing 3 years and im still not regestered lol. I just dont have the money my friend instructs me so i use his stuff but im saven for turny stuff so i can start getten in turnys. Actualy im not even in a realy club but i mat be joining jusplainfencings club or Readlance so all u sabre fencers whatch out i may be young but im fierce...... GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

My name is no longer correct unfortunately (may have to change it one of these days). While I still fence sabre at the club and in team tournaments, my primary weapon is now epee. Like P_Marlowe, I am no longer as fast as I once was and since I am tall I decided to make the switch. Last fall, I first did epee in a team tournament and was quite successful at it (did better at it in fact than in the sabre event the following day). It seems to me that sabre is more suited to those with quick reflexes and speed which I don't have.

I made that avatar from the video clip - it's easy w/ Photo Shop.

I haven't travelled to places where it count to get a rating for sabre in Canada. i.e. I haven't traveled to Montreal to compete.

But if it matters, I was an A in sabre in the 70s. Then I goofed off - stopped taking lesson: no sabre masters in Vancouver. the year I stopped taking lessons, they put on on the National team...

I'm a lowly E...will probably lose it next season, unless I manage to do well when I fence again...IF I fence again! With the business, just javen't been able to clear the time.

Just started to learn sabre a few weeks ago from another foilist. A class is starting soon, hope to be able to attend, loving it so far, but need the actual training.

i dont fence saber,sabre whatever,just wanted to correct fencing passion its redlands fencing center and i suggest you look at your other options before resorting to them,....
