Array I would not be so sure about those results... The Final, as far as I recall, was between Podzniakov and Covaliu, no bulgarian nor Dutch made it past the 64 etc.
So what I'm saying is that while Podzniakov has taken back his rightfull place, I don't think Nemcsik passed Keeth yet. He was eliminated in the last 16. I was there... -

Array Whatever the case, it appears that Smart did not attend the Sofia GP. Too bad. What is heartening is to see the other US fencers, Parker, Whitmer, Rogers, and many others placing in the top-64. They are our "second-tier" international fencers, and still doing as well, especially Parker, is a good sign that US Men's Sabre has depth. We might not get a team medal in 2004, but I see 2008 as the break-out year for US fencing in the Olympics. Unfortunately, who knows whether fencing will still be around at all in the big O. -

Array Craig,
is
6) ITA MONTANO Aldo
the son of the Montanos who fenced in the Montreal Olympics?

Array Wrong results It is not the real classification, because for example Julien Pillet from France lost in the 16, and the final was between Podzniakov and Covaliu.
I know someone who sent an email to the FIE, and the answer was "It is the classification sent by the Hungarian Federation", so perhaps they sent a wrong one. Michel

Array Just to collaborate what michel sent in
I jsut received this from Wang Yung from Seattle.
Howard is of course
44) TPE HUANG Chih-Hao:
"BTW, just talked to Howard. He said the FIE result was all wrong. He did not come in 44. Covalui came in second not Nemcik.
wy"
Reminds me of the Monty Python 'Hungarian/English Dictionary' sketch.
