| New sword! Hi all,
I thought I would share with you my new antique 18th century smallsword.
(in the picture on the left is a late 19th century practice "duelling" sword/epee.)

| Beautiful.
Where'd you get it and how much did it cost?

| I bought the smallsword on Ebay for $440 & the practice duelling sword at a large local gun show for $90. The other smallsword pictured was bought at a civil war show in TN for around $250 by my fencing coach. |

| Hi Sildar,
Yes, mostly Angelo and L' Abbat. Also a bit from the earlier transitional period like De Liancour.

| Hi S. These are nice looking swords. I'm curious how you go about verifying they are antiques? Is there some kind of certification, do you take them to an expert, just buy from trusted sellers, etc.?

| That steel in the blade is gorgeous!
Do you know who the smith was, or what forge it came out of? |
